THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	SENSO UNICO (C Orffer) lost 1 length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	Shortly after the start, SALVATOR MUNDI (G Lerena) was awkwardly placed on the heels of ARUMUGAM (M Yeni) when carried in by PRIME EXAMPLE (J Penny) which rolled inwards.
b)	Leaving the 800m, SALVATOR MUNDI (G Lerena) which was at the rear of the field was ridden forward to improve.
c)	WHITE FANG (S Khumalo) commenced to give ground from approximately the 600m and was not persevered with from the 300m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
d)	In view of the performance of GOOD COUNCIL (R Danielson) (20.70 lengths, 33/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
e)	FUTURE PEARL (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry  advised (RvR).

a)	FIGHT SONG raced without blinkers (advised 30.06.23/06h41).
b)	TABEBUIA raced equipped with ear muffs (advised 30.06.23/08h24).
c)	Jockey C Habib (FLYING FIRST CLASS) weighed out at 53.6kg's, 0.5kg over the carded weight.
