Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	ETOILEFILLANTE (JP van der Merwe) reared in the stalls and got its front legs over into the adjacent stall, which was occupied by WILLIAM THE RED (C Zackey). ETOILEFILLANTE (JP van der Merwe) and WILLIAM THE RED (C Zackey) were taken out, examined by the course veterinary surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded, causing a delay.
b)	ETOILEFILLANTE (JP van der Merwe) jumped awkwardly inwards, losing one length.
c)	FIRINGONALLENGINES (C Orffer) jumped slow, losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	NO APOLOGIES (G Wright) raced wide on the early part of the turn.
b)	Approaching the 600m FEW DOLLARS MORE (D de Gouveia) had to be checked when tightened for galloping room on the inside of NO APOLOGIES (G Wright), which ducked in sharply and had to be corrected. FIRINGONALLENGINES (C Orffer), which was racing behind FEW DOLLARS MORE (D de Gouveia), had to be steadied as a consequence. 
c)	In view of the performance of RUN FOR ME (K Steyn) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
d)	In view of the report from the starter regarding ETOILEFILLANTE (JP van der Merwe), this colt's starting stall 	certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as 	he proves to be tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 06/07/2023 to 12/07/2023, both dates 	inclusive). ETOILEFILLANTE may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
e)	SNOW PILOT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (SL)
