THE STARTER REPORTED: a) STORM COMMANDER (JP van der Merwe), GREEN FALCON (S Khumalo) and WIND SOCK (L Mxothwa) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey K Minnie reported that FOLLOW THE FLOW, which took a number of awkward strides shortly after the start, did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) In view of the performance of GREEN FALCON (Betting 5/2 ; Distance 9.35 lengths), which failed to respond to Jockey S Khumalo's urgings in the straight, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) Jockey M Thackeray reported that TIMBAVATI RIVER was blowing post-race. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) PATH OF CHOICE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
