THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TIERRA DEL FUEGO (C Habib) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) This race was run in steady rain. b) In view of the performance of INFINITE WONDER (S Khumalo), (distance 10,75 lengths, betting 2/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. Trainer M Azzie was requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of INFINITE WONDER on return to stables. c) Shortly before the finish line, Jockey C Maujean (GREEN HAZE) dropped his right-side rein, which he failed to regain. d) MAJESTIC MOZART (*K A Brewer), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
