THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PRINCESS KESH (S Khumalo), MEMORIAL DAY (R Danielson), SUMMERLAND (J Penny), LIVERPOOL LEGEND (A Mgudlwa), TREE FAIRY (N Klink) and ALLTHEWAYFROMUSA (J R Syster) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) HAVE A PARTY (M Yeni) over-raced in the early and middle stages and thereafter commenced to tire in the concluding stages. Jockey M Yeni reported that this filly did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) In view of the performance of WINNING QUEEN (*M K Katjedi), (distance 18,00 lengths, betting 7/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. c) Jockey R Danielson reported that MEMORIAL DAY made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) PRINCESS KESH (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer H E Adamson advised (LK).
