Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BIG POPPA (D Ashby) jumped slow, losing one length. b) TOTHEMOONANDBACK (C Orffer) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In a tightly bunched field approaching the 100m GREEN MANDARIN (C Zackey) had to be steadied when racing in restricted galloping room between LEGAL CHITCHAT (L Mxothwa) and DOUBLING UP (R Fourie), which shifted out marginally away from a tiring GIMME MORE TIME (G van Niekerk). b) Jockey A Domeyer reported that THUNDER MASTER did not act in the soft underfoot conditions. c) Trainer L Woodruff was charged with a contravention of Rule 59.5, in that she declared Jockey B Fayd'Herbe to ride KATSU when he was unable to draw the correct carded weight, resulting in a change of rider. Trainer L Woodruff signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1000.00. d) INSIDE STORY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer B Donnelly, acting on behalf of Trainer B Crawford, was advised.
