THE STARTER REPORTED: a) EXPRESSFROMTHEUS (D De Gouveia) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Going into the first turn, STONE COLD (N Klink), which commenced to over-race, carried CHIJMES (K de Melo) out marginally. b) At approximately the 400m, PRINCE EVLANOFF (S Khumalo), which shifted out off the heels of INDLAMU (C Habib) to obtain a clear run, had to steady when awkwardly placed on the inside of AL MUTHANA (AUS) (M Yeni), which rolled out. c) Jockey C Maujean reported LEOPOLD did not act in the going. d) AL MUTHANA (AUS) (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Ndzilana, acting on behalf of Trainer M F de Kock, advised (GF). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) PRINCE EVLANOFF raced with a compression mask (declared 25 January 2022 at 09H21).
