THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair break. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey W Marwing reported that ONCEAJACKPOT changed stride continually in running. In view of this report, the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) COFFEEBERRY (J Penny) over-raced in the middle stages. c) ARATULA (N Qaule) gave ground to the field from the 600m. d) RED ORCHID (M Nyamagwete) gave ground to the field from the 400m. e) COFFEEBERRY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Stidolph advised (GF) . JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) Jockey R Danielson replaced Jockey G Pieterse on ADMIRALS CHANCE. b) COFFEEBERRY (J Penny) raced without steel shoes and equipped with alumites. c) Jockey H Greyling, the rider of WALKING THRU TIME weighed out at 57kg, (1.5kg over the carded weight of which 1kg was declared). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) ONCEAJACKPOT was examined post race and was found to have a slight lameness in left hindlimb.
