THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	DONTSTOPMENOW (R Khathi) and EVENTIDOR (A Mgudlwa) lost 1 length.
  
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	DONTSTOPMENOW (R Khathi) over-raced in the early and middle stages.
b)	Leaving the 1000m, EXCEEDER (K de Melo) was allowed to improve around the field to take up a forward position at the 700m.
c)	Leaving the 100m, BLAZING LIGHT (S Veale) was carried out by RELEASE ME (M Yeni) which shifted out marginally. Thereafter, in the concluding stages EXCEEDER (K de Melo) was inconvenienced when racing in close proximity to the heels of BLAZING LIGHT (S Veale), which shifted out away from the crop. Jockey S Veale appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to correct his mounts when they shift ground in races in future.
d)	In view of the performance of PARIS RAIN (R Fourie) (7.05 lengths, 7/2 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
e)	SYX HOTFIX (*R A Venniker), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Wright  advised (DZ).
