Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) VALIENTE (J Gates) stumbled badly leaving the starting stalls. Immediately thereafter, VALIENTE (J Gates) was bumped out by IRON BARK (A Mgudlwa) which jumped out leaving the starting stalls. As a result JUSTAGUYTHING (K de Melo) and HOOVES OF TROY (C Habib) were bumped out. b) At approximately the 100m, LOVE IN WINTER (S Veale) was directed inwards by Jockey S Veale to avoid running onto the heels of LUNARCAM (T Godden) which rolled inwards. c) At the 100m HOOVES OF TROY (C Habib) was steadied when racing in restricted room between the inside running rail and NAARAH (*M K Katjedi) which was carried in marginally by JUSTAGUYTHING (K de Melo) which was hanging in. d) Apprentice K J Lihaba (VASEEM) reported that his saddle slipped back in the running. This was confirmed by the video evidence. e) IRON BARK (A Mgudlwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) advised (NS).
