THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	STREETSHAVENONAME (K de Melo) raced awkwardly around the turn and into the straight.
b)	From the 250m, PLAYER X (*M K Katjedi) and TRUE TROJAN (A Mgudlwa) came together and bumped on a number of occasions. Thereafter, shortly before the finish PLAYER X (*M K Katjedi) had to steady when awkwardly placed between REACH FORTHE STARS (S Khumalo) which shifted out away from the crop and was immediately straightened, and TRUE TROJAN (A Mgudlwa) which continued to race in close proximity to 
PLAYER X (*M K Katjedi).
c)	 An Inquiry will be opened into Jockey A Mgudlwa's (TRUE TROJAN) crop use in the concluding stages of this race.
d)	At the 200m, TRITON (S Moodley) had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed on the outside of KODIAK ISLAND (*R A Venniker) which was hanging out from the 350m. In assessing this incident, the Board, was satisfied that Apprentice R A Venniker (KODIAK ISLAND) had attempted to straighten this gelding on a number of occasions and deemed this to be a racing incident.
e)	In view of the performance of DUKE OF AFRICA (M Yeni) (8.50 lengths, 9/2 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
f)	TROIS TROIS QUATRE (J P v'd Merwe), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M F De Kock advised (NS).
