THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FIREALLEY (M Winnaar) jumped outwards and bumped RAGNAR LOTHBROK (J Solomons). b) WECANGOALLNIGHT (K Matsunyane) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In view of the performance of BEREAVE (A Domeyer), which was hanging out from the 400m and shifted out from the 150m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) Jockey K Matsunyane (WECANGOALLNIGHT) briefly dropped his right-side rein approaching the 100m. c) RAGNAR LOTHBROK (J Solomons) was hanging out in the latter stages. d) SILVER FALCON, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
