THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) SIDDELEY (G van Niekerk) cast its right front shoe leaving the stalls. b) At the 800m FLYING V (R Fourie) had to be steadied away from the heels of OCTOBER MORN (A Domeyer), which shifted in slightly at the crossover of the straight track. Jockey A Domeyer appeared before the Board and was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. c) BEACH BOMB, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
