THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) THE GLIDING FISH (C F Dicken) was hanging in from the 200m. b) At approximately the 500m TRADE WAR (M Yeni) became unbalanced when bumped in by QUEST FOR THE BEST (A Mgudlwa) which was shifted in off the heels of PHILISPIEL (*R A Venniker). c) Jockey K de Melo reported he felt something amiss with QUESTION OF FAITH in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Shortly before the finish line Apprentice R A Venniker (PHILISPIEL) accidently dropped her crop. e) PHILISPIEL (*R A Venniker), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M L Roberts advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) INTREPID raced equipped with blinkers (advised 25.07.23/14h33). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) QUESTION OF FAITH : Gelded 19.06.23 (Trainer advised 21.07.23). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) QUESTION OF FAITH : Nothing obvious detected. b) THE GLIDING FISH : Returned post-race having cast the left front shoe. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: a) None
