Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	GIMMEAFIRST (O Noach) jumped slow, losing two lengths. 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Light rain fell prior to and during the running of this race.
b)	Approaching the 150m GIMMEAFIRST (O Noach) was held up for a clear run and had to be steadied when 	awkwardly placed on the inside of FUN ZONE (A Domeyer) and close to the heels of PERILLA (J 	Solomons). Thereafter, GIMMEAFIRST (O Noach) had to be directed to the inside of PERILLA (J Solomons) 	and into clear running. 
c)	BONIKA (JP van der Merwe) was hanging out in the latter stages.
d)	In view of the performance of INARA'S DYNASTY (G van Niekerk), which was hanging in in the straight and 	took an awkward stride at the 150m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
e)	Jockey R Fourie reported that BETTY BOOP made an abnormal respiratory noise in running and he did not 	persevere with his riding from the 150m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
f)	Jockey L Mxothwa was charged with a contravention of Rule 66.4 (read with Guideline 1 on overweight) in that 	he, as the rider of MISS GREENLIGHT, weighed back in (58.4kgs), more than 1kg over the weight at which 	he was declared out. (57.3kgs).
g)	FUSILLADE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee C Dixon, 	acting on behalf of Trainer WA Nel, was advised. (WM)
