THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) ZINIKELE (A Mgudlwa) was hanging in from the 200m. b) ALPHABETTY (G Lerena) was hanging in, in the concluding stages. c) Jockey T Godden reported that TOTO did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the performance of ALPHABETTY (G Lerena) (4.95 lengths, 5/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Trainer F Robinson signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 39.7.5 in that I failed to vaccinate LOVE BOMB against Equine Influenza in accordance with the programme of vaccination as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1000 was imposed. f) ASIYE PHAMBILI (S Veale), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D C Howells advised (DZ).
