THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HERMANUS SUNRISE (J Gates) jumped awkwardly outwards. b) GREEN ISLE (C Zackey) jumped slow, losing two lengths. c) WINDRUNNER (M Winnaar) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) MISS LEMONADE (JP van der Merwe) raced wide on the turn and into the straight. b) Jockey M Winnaar (WINDRUNNER) dropped his crop at the 200m. c) Jockey C Orffer was unable to ride GO LIKE FLOW to the finish when close to the heels of YOUREYESONLY (O Noach) in the concluding stages. d) Jockey D Ashby reported that BLIND FAITH coughed post-race. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this mare. e) WINDRUNNER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised.
