THE STARTER REPORTED: a) THE AGENTS MUSE (G Wright) and AIR OF ROYALTY (K Steyn) were slow into stride. b) AMONG THE CLOUDS (G van Niekerk) was brushed by FLY TO RIO (A Andrews) when carried inwards by SHIKOKU (D Ashby) leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 200m FLY TO RIO (A Andrews) was unable to secure clear running between KAMAKAZI (A Domeyer) and VERONIQUE (C Zackey). Thereafter, Jockey A Andrews reported that FLY TO RIO did not stride out freely in running and he did not persevere with his riding. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) CATTALEYA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Crawford was advised.
