THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SCARLET RED (W Marwing) jumped out awkwardly leaving the stalls. b) CHOCOLATE BOMB (G Lerena) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) PRESLEY (N Klink) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start PRESLEY (N Klink), which jumped out, was brushed in by LT ALEXANDER (M Yeni), which rolled in. b) GOTCHA BUZZ (P Mxoli) was hanging in throughout. c) DARING ACT (C Maujean) was hanging in from the 300m. d) Jockey W Marwing reported that SCARLET RED changed stride continually in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) CHOCOLATE BOMB, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer JJ van Vuuren was advised.
