THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TREE FAIRY (*R A Venniker) and MY CHERIE AMOUR (D De Gouveia) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At approximately the 150m, SIEGE OF ORLEANS (*S Hlengwa) was carried out marginally by ROSSLYNE (K Matsunyane) which shifted out away from DUCHESS OF GOLD (S Veale) which rolled out. b) BLAZING KISS (A Mgudlwa) was hanging in, in the concluding stages. c) Jockey D De Gouveia reported that he felt something amiss with MY CHERIE AMOUR in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Trainer C Hewitson signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 8.3.1 in that he failed to make the owners colours available for ROSSLYNE. Accordingly, a penalty of a warning was imposed. e) Trainer C Hewitson signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 57.1.1, in that I failed to deliver the passport for the horse ROSSLYNE not later than 60 minutes before the official starting time of its race. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1000 was imposed. f) RECKLESS LOVE (C F Dicken), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W Whitehead advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) ROSSLYNE raced equipped with ear muffs and without blinkers (advised 06.08.23/07h24). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) ROSSLYNE (K Matsunyane) raced in club colours.
