Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CITY OF DREAMS (M Mjoka), WINTERONTHEGREEN (G van Niekerk) and MEG'S LEGACY (L Mxothwa) were stubborn loading. b) CATCH A PENNY (C Little) jumped inwards. c) WINTERONTHEGREEN (G van Niekerk) jumped outwards. d) RUBY REX (C Zackey), ALESSIA ASHEVILLE (A Arries) and STILL SPARKLING (K Steyn) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Due to a technical issue with the scale, all Jockeys were weighed in manually. This led to a delay with the release of the all-clear. This was brought to the attention of the Racing Operator. b) Shortly after the start, MEG'S LEGACY (L Mxothwa) and LEAD TO GLORY (C Bantam) made contact when bumped inwards by CATCH A PENNY (C Little), which had jumped inwards. As a consequence RUBY REX (C Zackey), which had been slow to begin, had to be steadied and directed inwards when close to the heels of MEG'S LEGACY (L Mxothwa). c) RED STATE (O Noach) over raced in the early stages. d) LEAD TO GLORY (C Bantam) and LIFELONG DANCE (J Solomons) were hanging out on the turn. e) CITY OF DREAMS (M Mjoka) was hanging out on the turn and raced wide until the 800m. f) The saddle on STILL SPARKLING (K Steyn) slipped back in running. This was confirmed by the Veterinary Surgeon. g) HOERIKWAGGO, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
