THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TORRONE (C Zackey), DISTRICT TWELVE (*R A Venniker) and LADOOSHKA (D Schwarz) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) SIR WILLIAM (R Khathi) over-raced in the early stages. b) At approximately the 150m TORRONE (C Zackey) had to steady when awkwardly placed between RHUMBA STILTSKIN (T Godden) which was carried in by ACTIVATOR (*S Hlengwa) which was hanging in from the 300m and VIHAAN'S BOMB (A Mgudlwa) which shifted out marginally away from the crop and was straightened. c) In the concluding stages VIHAAN'S BOMB (A Mgudlwa) was brushed in by ACTIVATOR (*S Hlengwa) which continued to hang in. d) Jockey D Schwarz reported that he felt something amiss with LADOOSHKA in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Jockey R Khathi reported that SIR WILLIAM coughed in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) Apprentice T Mayhew (GIJIMA MFANA) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. g) OSHAKATI (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G B Puller advised (BB). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) ACTIVATOR raced without blinkers (advised 07.08.23/19h22). b) DISTRICT TWELVE raced with steel shoes (advised 04.08.23/08h15).
