THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	TROIS TROIS QUATRE (J P van der Merwe) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.	
b)	YOURE MY SUNSHINE (C Zackey) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls.
c)	RYAN'S DREAM (J Gates), MONSIEUR CHEVELLE (P Mxoli) and  NUCLEAR FORCE (*S Sosibo) were slow losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	As the start was effected, Jockey C Zackey was unbalanced on YOURE MY SUNSHINE and briefly lost the footing to his left-side stirrup iron leaving the stalls. 
b)	At approximately the 1600m, PARKER GETRIX (N Klink), which commenced to over-race, was steadied to avoid running onto the heels of ROMEO'S MAGIC (G Lerena), which rolled in. 
c)	YOUCANTHURRYLOVE (D Schwarz) hung in from the 200m.
d)	In view of the performance of NOTHINGELSEMATTERS (K Matsunyane), (distance 5,80 lengths, betting 5/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.	
e)	Jockey C Maujean reported that SILENT TRIGGER made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 	
f)	TROIS TROIS QUATRE (J P van der Merwe), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer P Dlhamini, acting on behalf of Trainer M F de Kock, was advised (LK).
