THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ELUSIVE JEWEL (Y Ramzan) was stubborn loading. b) HOLLY'S VIEW (S Khathi) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race and the thirty-minute interval between races. b) NKALANZINZI (J Gates) was hanging in throughout. c) Jockey R Fourie reported that FOR ALL WE KNOW did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. d) Jockey JP van der Merwe reported that he felt something amiss with FUR BABY. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) In view of the performances of GHALAATI (K Minnie) and ELUSIVE JEWEL (Y Ramzan) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these fillies. f) In view of the report from the Starter regarding ELUSIVE JEWEL (Y Ramzan) Trainer SB Kotzen will be advised to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. g) ROSE OF BAYEUX, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
