THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PSYCHEDELIC ERIC (R Khathi) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) MR BODACIOUS (L Mxothwa) was hanging in in the straight. b) SIRNIHAALLONGSWORD (M Mjoka) shifted out away from the crop approaching the 200m and had to be straightened. c) PSYCHEDELIC ERIC (R Khathi) was hanging in in the latter stages. d) In view of the performance of ARTURO (R Fourie) (Betting 9/2 ; Distance 5.25 lengths) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. e) Jockey K Minnie reported that SPANISH FORT changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. f) COOL RUNNINGS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GD Smith was advised.
