THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start HUGSANDHIGHFIVES (R Fourie) was squeezed out between EAU DE VIE (*T Mayhew) which jumped in, and BITCOIN BABY (T Godden) which rolled out. b) At the 700m HUGSANDHIGHFIVES (R Fourie) was momentarily inconvenienced on the inside of BITCOIN BABY (T Godden) which rolled in and was immediately corrected. c) Leaving the 200m FEELING GROOVY (C Habib) was brushed out by IDEAL GIFT (S Moodley) which rolled out marginally. d) Jockey S Moodley (IDEAL GIFT) reported his saddle slipped back in the running. This was confirmed by the course Veterinary Surgeon. e) Jockey R Khathi reported that KITTYBOYS GIRL did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) Apprentice T Mayhew (EAU DE VIE) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. g) MALCOLM'S DREAM (C F Dicken), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M Dixon advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) FEELING GROOVY raced without pacifiers (advised 09.08.23/05h14). b) IM THE BUZZ raced equipped with blinkers (advised 11.08.23/10h57).
