THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MONTMERENCY (C Habib), GRAND ESCAPE (C Zackey) and THORNTON CREEK (D Schwarz) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 1200m, SEA OF GALILEE (M Yeni) which commenced to over-race, had to steady off the heels of EARL OF CARDIGAN (*P Mxoli) which rolled in. b) Approaching the 200m, EARL OF CARDIGAN (*P Mxoli) which shifted in away from the crop, had to steady momentarily to avoid running onto the heels of SEA OF GALILEE (M Yeni) which shifted out away from the crop and was straightened. c) MONTMERENCY (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer T Nako advised (AH). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) THORNTON CREEK is a gelding, gelded 10 August 2021 (incorrectly carded).
