THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	RASPBERRY BERET (M Yeni), SOFT TOUCH (C Maujean) and RESPECTABLE MISS (K Minnie) were stubborn loading.
b)	SARAJEVO (D Schwarz) was nervous in the stalls, rushed the front gates, jumped slow and thereafter was slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	RASPBERRY BERET (M Yeni) pulled hard in the early stages and was allowed to race around the field 	and to the front passing the 1000m. Thereafter, RASPBERRY BERET (M Yeni) compounded in the 	straight. Jockey M Yeni reported that RASPBERRY BERET did not stride out freely in running. The 	Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare.
b)	SOFT TOUCH (C Maujean) was hanging in from the 300m. 
c)	UNYIELDING, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was 	advised. (LM)
d)	SAINT ANASTASIA, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. 	Trainer JP Nel was advised. (LM)
