THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LUCE VERDE (L Mxothwa) jumped awkwardly. b) FIRINGONALLENGINES (R Danielson) was bumped on both sides by DAS GUTE (K Steyn) and DIAMOND ROCK (A Domeyer), both of which shifted ground leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) After being bumped at the start FIRINGONALLENGINES (R Danielson) was ridden forward and then commenced to over race in the early stages. b) Approaching the 600m FEW DOLLARS MORE (M Winnaar) was carried wide by MASTER OF PARIS (D de Gouveia), which was bumped outwards by JOVIAL (O Noach), which shifted out away from the inside running rail. c) In view of the performance of MARSHALL FIELD (C Orffer) (Betting 13/10; Distance 5.35) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) LUCE VERDE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
