THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	DOUBLE PUNCTURE (N Patel) was stubborn to load. Lost 3 lengths. Assistant Trainer T Fripp acting on behalf of Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) was advised to re-school this gelding (SL). 
  
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	TRITON (S Moodley) did not parade in front of the grandstand. Trainer C Hewitson will be advised that should this gelding behave in a similar manner in future, it may be suspended. 
b)	STREETSHAVENONAME (R Fourie) over-raced in the early and middle stages. 
c)	At the 300m, TRITON (S Moodley) was carried in by a tiring THE BUSINESS (D Daniels) which shifted in away from WAR SWORD (S Khumalo) which rolled in marginally. As a result, MOHAVE MAN (K A Brewer) was brushed in by TRITON (S Moodley) and thereafter was eased off the heels of IMAGINABLE (M Yeni) which rolled out. 
d)	In view of the performance of RHUMBA STILTSKIN (M V'Rensburg) (63.85 lengths, 100/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
e)	ANCIENT WORLD (T Godden), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Eudey acting on behalf of Trainer M D Miller advised (BB).
