THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WILL O ME (*B Plaatjies) was stubborn to load. Trainer G B Puller was advised to re-school this filly (SL). b) PRINCESS ARLOWE (R Fourie) was stubborn to load. Lost 1 length and thereafter was slow into stride. Assistant Trainer J Buckler acting on behalf of Trainer G S Kotzen was advised to re-school this filly (SL). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start PRINCESS ARLOWE (R Fourie) shifted in and took up a position towards the inside of the field. b) WILL O ME (*B Plaatjies) was hanging in and shifted in, in the concluding stages. c) CANDY FOR MY MOMMY (M Thackeray) shifted in away from WILL O ME (*B Plaatjies) in the concluding stages. d) Apprentice B Plaatjies (WILL O ME) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. e) In view of the performance of PRINCESS ARLOWE (R Fourie) (8.70 lengths, 2/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) MAQUETTE (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
