THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) MISS SHAIVI (*S Sosibo) over-raced in the early stages. b) Jockey S Khumalo was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he, as the rider of TAMIL TIGRESS, misused his crop by striking this filly more than twelve times (14) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Jockey S Khumalo signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R4000 was imposed. c) SILVER SANCTUARY (J P van der Merwe), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
