THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ZUZAN (P Mxoli) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, LONDON ROADS (*M K Katjedi) was bumped by ZUZAN (P Mxoli), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) Trainer P F Matchett was charged with a contravention of Rule 39.7.5 in that he failed to vaccinate SMITH AND WESSON against Equine Influenza in accordance with the programme of vaccinations as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. Trainer P F Matchett signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000. c) ZUZAN (P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P F Matchett advised (LK). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) CRIMSON PRINCESS raced without a tongue tie (declared 22 August 2023 at 07H11). b) MOTOWN MAGIC raced without blinkers (declared 24 August 2023 at 07H42).
