THE STARTER REPORTED: a) INFRARED (L Mxothwa) jumped awkwardly with its head up and thereafter was slow into stride. b) THE NIGHT FERRY (R Danielson) and IGUGULETHU (A Domeyer) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) TAMBOURINE MAN (O Noach), which raced wide without cover on the early part of the turn, was crowded for galloping room on two occasions in the straight while racing on the inside of HOUSE OF SUSSEX (C Bantam), which rolled in and had to be straightened. b) IGUGULETHU (A Domeyer) raced green on the turn. c) INFRARED (L Mxothwa) raced green. d) Jockey M Winnaar reported that PETECA felt uncomfortable in its action and he did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) WHISKEY BRAVO, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer L Woodruff was advised.
