Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED A) GUAQUISTADOR and CAPTAIN TATTERS were slow away and lost 1 length respectively. B) VISTA NOVA was nervous in the stalls. C) AFRICA'S ROCK was stubborn loading, rushed the front gates, was slow away and lost 3 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) During the loading process AFRICA'S ROCK (M V'Rensburg) became restless, rushed the front gate, fly jumped and made contact with the right-side front gate leaving the stalls. As a consequence this gelding lost 3 lengths to the field. B) Leaving the 300m, NO LAYING UP (L Mxothwa) which hung in from the 500m, was brushed out by LIFE ON MARS (*K A Brewer) which shifted out away from the crop and was immediately straightened. C) After the running of this race, Jockey L Mxothwa was stood down by the Course Medical Officer due to dehydration. Rule 25.12 does not apply. D) Trainer L Lotz' attention was drawn to the provisions of Rule 10.5.7 pertaining to TOUREIRO (J Mphanya) not having raced for 120 days or more at the time of entries. E) The winner CAPTAIN TATTERS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Stable Employee J Mdludlu acting on behalf of Trainer J S Snaith advised (LM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES A) VISTA NOVA raced equipped with a compression mask (10:51 - 31/01/2022). B) RAZOR RED raced equipped with a compression mask (07:52 - 02/02/2022). C) AFRICA'S ROCK raced equipped with a tongue tie (11:31 - 03/02/2022). D) LIFE ON MARS raced equipped with a compression mask (10:32 - 03/02/2022).
