THE STARTER REPORTED: a) NIGHT TIGER (M Winnaar) was restless in the stalls. b) VELDSKOEN (AUS) (L Mxothwa) stumbled leaving the stalls. c) LE LEGIONNAIRE (G van Niekerk) jumped outwards and made contact with PURPLE AND GREEN (*DB Geerthsen), which was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race. b) PURPLE AND GREEN (*DB Geerthsen) over raced in the early stages. c) LUNCH MONEY (G Wright) shifted both ways away from the crop between the 300m and the finish. d) At the 250m a tiring FINAL MOVE (O Noach) was carried outwards by BENJAMIN (A Domeyer), which was held up and directed outwards to obtain clear running. e) PARATROOPER (B Fayd'Herbe), which was hanging out throughout, ducked out sharply shortly after the finish. f) BRIGHT BLUE SKY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
