THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	SUCCESSFUL LADY (S Naidoo) was nervous in the stalls and jumped slow, losing one length.
b)	KOMESANS PASSION (G Lerena), ANGELSEA (C Zackey) and LOOKING HOT (D Ashby) were slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	MOONSTRIKE (J Gates) was hanging in in the latter stages.
b)	KOMESANS PASSION (G Lerena) was hanging out in the latter stages.
c)	Jockey S Khathi reported that AIMEE'S IDOL did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon 	was requested to examine this filly.
d)	In view of the performance of FUR BABY (M Yeni) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this 	filly.
e)	HOTCHIWITCHI (M Mjoka) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary 	haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 60 days, from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The 	National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr E Reynders)
f)	The Stewards questioned Jockey X Ndlovu regarding his riding of BATIK, the concerns being the apparent 	lack of vigour shown in the closing stages. The Stewards have adjourned to give further consideration to the 	statements given by Jockey X Ndlovu and are awaiting a full medical report from the course Medical Officer.
g)	POMODORO MAGIC, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DA 	McKenzie was advised. (LM)
