THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey G Lerena reported that he felt something amiss with TANGANGA in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) METEORIC (C Maujean), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer R Klaasen advised (MduP). When questioned regarding the improved performance of METEORIC, Trainer R Klaasen explained to the Board that, in her opinion, the good draw and drop in class had accounted for this mare's improved performance.
