THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CUE THE REBEL (R Fourie), WINDS OF WINTER (D Daniels), RANI OF JHANSI (A Mgudlwa) and THE QUEEN BEE (C Habib) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start RANI OF JHANSI (A Mgudlwa) was bumped by WITCHWOOD (S Moodley) which rolled out after jumping awkwardly from the starting stalls. b) THE QUEEN BEE (C Habib) was hanging in from the 300m. c) Approaching the 200m WITCHWOOD (S Moodley) was eased when racing in narrowing room between RANI OF JHANSI (A Mgudlwa) and PIECE BY PIECE (*R A Venniker) which was hanging in from the 300m, rolled in and was then corrected. Thereafter WITCHWOOD (S Moodley) was switched out to continue its run. Apprentice R A Venniker (PIECE BY PIECE) appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to take more immediate and more decisive measures to correct her mount when they shift ground in races in future. d) FLIGHT MANEUVER (T Godden) was hanging in, in the concluding stages. e) PRETTY ANALIA (C Maujean), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P M Gadsby advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) WITCHWOOD raced without blinkers (advised 10.09.2023/07h56). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
