THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	AIR OF ROYALTY (O Noach) jumped outwards and made contact with I'LL SLIP AWAY (C Bantam).
b)	GEORGIE GEORGE (JP van der Merwe) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	An Inquiry has been opened to establish if there were sufficient reasons surrounding SHIFTING PATH (A 	Andrews) being positioned towards the inside of the racecourse during the latter part of the turn.  This 	appeared to be contrary to the direction that was given to all Riders, following agreement subsequent to an 	inspection of an area of the course as detailed in the report of Race 8, to maintain a course towards the 	outside of the course for the duration of the turn. This direction was taken to ensure that there was every 	opportunity to conclude the race meeting and to ensure that the normal standards of health and safety, 	horse welfare and the integrity of racing was maintained. 
b)	Jockey C Bantam was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the 	carded 	weight on I'LL SLIP AWAY. Jockey C Bantam signed an admission of guilt and was fined 	R1000.00.
c)	YAMADORI, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. 	(WM)
	
JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES:

a)	C Bantam (I'LL SLIP AWAY) rode +1.5kg (53.5kgs) of which 0.5kgs was declared. The Stewards, in consultation with Trainer GW Ennion, allowed this 	overweight in terms of Rule 59.9 (declared 10h07 on 20230907)
b)	O Noach rode AIR OF ROYALTY
c)	C Orffer (EASY MONEY) rode +0.5kg (57.8kgs)
