Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	THE CHARIOTEER (M van Rensburg) reared in the stalls, was taken out, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded, causing a delay.
b)	STORM COMMANDER (S Khumalo), RAZOR RED (C Maujean) and HOMER FIDGET (M Mjoka) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Shortly after the start RAZOR RED (C Maujean) ducked outwards sharply, refused to gallop and took no 	further part in the race. In terms of Rule 93.2.5 this gelding is suspended indefinitely until such time as he 	proves tractable to jump on terms and gallop with a companion on a race day. 
b)	At the 900m MANCHESTER FIGHTER (C Habib) had to be steadied when racing tight on the inside of 	GRAND DESTINY (M Yeni). Jockey M Yeni appeared before the Board and was advised to give more room to 	runners on his inside in future engagements.
c)	Jockey R Fourie reported that PATH OF CHOICE did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon 	was requested to examine this gelding.
d)	In view of the performance of LAW COURT (J Jacobs) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine 	this gelding.
e)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding THE CHARIOTEER (M van Rensburg), this gelding's starting 	stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such 	time as he proves to be tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 16/09/2023 to 22/09/2023 inclusive). 	THE CHARIOTEER may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
f)	EUPHORIC, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee E 	Griebenow, acting on behalf of Trainer JVA Strydom, was advised. (LM)
