THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	LONGSWORD (R Fourie) was slow into stride.
  


THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	Leaving the 300m MISS ARLBERG (*R A Venniker) which rolled in had to steady to avoid running onto the heels of PURPLENINJATURTLE (K Matsunyane) which was hanging out.
b)	In the concluding stages CAPTAINOFTHEGREEN (S Moodley) was carried in by KUPHOLIWE (R Khathi) which shifted in away from the crop. Shortly thereafter CAPTAINOFTHEGREEN (S Moodley) attempted to savage KUPHOLIWE (R Khathi). A member of the Stipendiary Board called a race review into this incident which was followed by an Objection being lodged on behalf of the joint third placed horse CAPTAINOFTHEGREEN (S Moodley) against the other third placed horse KUPHOLIWE (R Khathi) on the grounds of interference in the concluding stages. The Objection Board, after giving regard to the patrol films of the Race and the evidence put forward by the respective Parties during the objection hearing, was of the opinion that the result had been affected by this incident and that CAPTAINOFTHEGREEN (S Moodley) would have finished ahead of KUPHOLIWE (R Khathi) had this interference not occurred. Therefore, it upheld the objection and amended the Judges result. 
c)	Jockey R Fourie reported that LONGSWORD made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
d)	Jockey S Veale reported that MR HENLEY took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 
e)	BEVIES DELIGHT (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P B Muscutt advised (DZ).
