THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LEONESSA (D Schwarz), QUEEN BOMI (P Mxoli), BEGUILING (J R Syster) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, QUEEN BOMI (P Mxoli), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls, took an awkward stride and stumbled when bumped by DUENNA (C Habib), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) PERILLA (J Gates) shifted out away from the crop from the 250m and was corrected. c) MEMORIAL DAY (C Zackey) and BEGUILING (J R Syster) brushed shortly before the finish line. d) In view of the performance of LADY ELLIOT (M Yeni), (distance 4,25 lengths, betting 7/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) Jockey P Strydom reported that PRIMROSE PATH took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Trainer F Bronkhorst was requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of PRIMROSE PATH on return to stables. f) QUEEN BOMI (P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
