THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start CRESTED EAGLE (C Zackey) and ALL THE TIME (S Veale) were cramped and squeezed out between PONGOLA (*R A Venniker) which jumped out and ROY'S COMMAND (K Matsunyane) which jumped in marginally. b) ALL THE TIME (S Veale) shifted in away from the crop in the concluding stages. c) Apprentice N Nastili (THE BAYOU) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. d) WYLIE RILEY (A Mgudlwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer T Fripp acting on behalf of Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) WYLIE RILEY raced with a tongue tie (advised 23.09.2023/20h30). b) Jockey C Maujean (LEBANESE POUND) weighed out at 53.2kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight.
