THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	POTENT CAPTAIN (*R A Venniker) was restless in the stalls. 
b)	TERIYAKI (A Mgudlwa) fly-jumped leaving the stalls. Lost 1 length.
c)	LASHLAROO (S Veale) lost 1 length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	MO KING (C Habib) was hanging in from the 400m.
b)	TERIYAKI (A Mgudlwa) was hanging in between the 300m and the 200m.
c)	Jockey T Godden reported that he felt something amiss in the running with ABADDON. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 
d)	 In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning ABADDON, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Assistant Trainer C Eudey acting on behalf of Trainer M D Miller was advised (RS). Suspension date : (28.09.2023 - 26.11.2023 bdi).
e)	Assistant Trainer N Roscoe acting on behalf of Trainer D Kannemeyer signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of RULE 10.5.6.3 in that he failed to notify the Chief Stipendiary Steward within 2 days that the gelding ROYAL SWAN MASTER had entered his training establishment. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R500 was imposed. 
f)	Trainer F Robinson signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 10.5.6.1 in that he failed to notify the Chief Stipendiary Steward within two days that LASHLAROO is a gelding. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R500 was imposed. 
g)	PALACE REVOLT (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer W Marwing acting on behalf of Trainer W H Marwing advised (DZ).
