THE STARTER REPORTED A) STAR RIDER jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. B) SILVANO'SBUTTERFLY was nervous in the stalls and slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) STAR RIDER (R Khathi) shifted in away from the crop from the 200m. B) Jockey A Domeyer signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking the horse JOE HARMAN more than 12 times in the entire race. A penalty of a R1500 fine was imposed. C) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning ALL SWAGGER (Wes Marwing), and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer J A Visser was advised. D) The winner HIKARU was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer G D Smith advised (LM).
