Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	MAJESTIC PALACE (J P van der Merwe) was stubborn loading, unruly and reared in the stalls. Thereafter, this colt reared as the start was effected, losing four lengths. The starting stall certificate for this colt has been withdrawn. Trainer A Azzie was advised (GT).                
b)	POCKET WATCH (G Lerena) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.	
c)	CROWN PRINCE (*M K Katjedi), KEIRAS RANGER (W Marwing) and TRISKELION (C Habib) were slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	AND ACTION (P Strydom), which was unruly, proved reluctant to canter to the start and had to be led by a handler. Trainer S G Tarry is to be advised that should this gelding behave in a similar manner in future, he may be suspended.
b)	TRISKELION (C Habib) commenced to give ground to the field from the 300m. Thereafter, Jockey C Habib reported that TRISKELION made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
c)	In view of the Starter's report with regard to MAJESTIC PALACE, this colt's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion. 
Suspension dates: 29 September 2023 to 5 October 2023.  MAJESTIC PALACE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer A Azzie was advised.	
d)	HALBERDIER (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
