THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	HEROIC POWER (T Godden) and ATTABOY (*R A Venniker) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	Shortly after the start HEROIC POWER (T Godden), ATTABOY (*R A Venniker), FIRE TONIC (S Veale) and CAPTAIN BARBOSA (C Habib) were squeezed out and cramped for galloping room between IBIZA NIGHT (*S Hlengwa) which was bumped out by NIKOLAI KOPERNIK (S Moodley) which jumped outwards, and PLAYER X (M Yeni) which jumped inwards sharply.
b)	CAPTAIN BARBOSA (C Habib) over-raced in the early and middle stages.
c)	PLAYER X (M Yeni) was hanging out around the turn.
d)	In the concluding stages IBIZA NIGHT (*S Hlengwa) and ATTABOY (*R A Venniker) came together and brushed. 
e)	HEROIC POWER (T Godden) was hanging out in the concluding stages.
f)	Jockey S Moodley reported that NIKOLAI KOPERNIK made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
g)	Jockey D Daniels signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.3 in that as the rider of REGINA ARGENTO, he failed to ride this horse out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stewards. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1000 was imposed.
h)	GALAXY EXPLORER (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A J Rivalland advised (NS).

a)	Apprentice R A Venniker (claiming 1.5kg) was the rider of ATTABOY (advised 01.10.2023).
