THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PAINITE (L Mxothwa) was stubborn loading. b) ALADO'S PRIDE (*T Mayhew), SASSY (*N Nastili), GREAT AFFAIR (C Maujean) and QUESTION MASTER (*B Plaatjies) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) SASSY (*N Nastili) stumbled shortly after the start. b) ALADO'S PRIDE (*T Mayhew) proved difficult to settle in the early stages. c) Apprentice N Nastili (SASSY) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. d) Jockey Y Ramzan reported that BASETSANA took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. e) Jockey M Mjoka reported that DESERT FOX did not stride out freely in running.
