THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MO THE MAN (G Lerena) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) BLACK LIGHTNING (S Khumalo) hung in badly from the 400m. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. When taking into consideration BLACK LIGHTNING'S history with regards to hanging and covering unnecessary ground in Races, this gelding has been suspended indefinitely in terms of Rule 93.2.5 and until he proves tractable galloping on a straight course with a companion on a Raceday. b) In view of the performance of WOLFFS WORLD (C Habib), (distance 11,25 lengths, betting 25/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) YOUCANTHURRYLOVE (D Schwarz), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
